Calling Home Group Facilitator
Sam is a private practice therapist who specializes in women's issues, including life transitions, rebuilding confidence and empowerment, religious deconstruction, and trauma recovery.
Prior to working in private practice, she spent 5 1/2 years working in a level 1 trauma emergency room, assisting patients and their families with death and end-of-life, substance use disorders, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She believes deeply in the power and resilience of women, and her passion is helping women reconnect to their own sense of empowerment and self-worth. She was raised in New York, spent 15 years in Utah, and recently relocated to Florida to return to the East Coast and start a new adventure. Her hobbies include baking, dinner with friends (really any time with friends), watching documentaries, and figuring out how to embroider.
Sam received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW, LICSW) and is currently licensed in Utah, Illinois, Virginia, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. She is the co-host of the Nuance Needed podcast, and can be found on Instagram and Tiktok at the handle @sam.the.therapist. She looks forward to working with you in group!
